The more than 5 million Roma living in Turkey face dozens of problems, including discrimination, poverty and housing. There are serious problems in access to education for children. Child marriages and child labor are unfortunately very high and the burden of all these deprivations falls especially on women.

Most children growing up in unhealthy conditions have to drop out of school after a while, even if they start school. Failure of parents to provide the necessary support, early marriages, the obligation of the child to contribute to the family budget by working, the family's inability to meet educational expenses, the child not having the conditions to study at home; late start and inability to adapt to school due to late issuance of identity cards, discriminatory and marginalizing treatment at school push children to drop out of school. However, every child should receive education.  It is every child's right to be a child.

POVERTY DEEPENS WITH DISCRIMINATION!

80% of disadvantaged groups live in deep poverty and far from healthy housing conditions.

In our rights-based struggle and with the network we have formed with 34 Roma organizations, we are working to develop policies both locally, nationally and internationally, especially as the voice of the local. We lobby both policy makers and international institutions by communicating the main problems of Roma and groups living like Roma.

We do not accept the deep poverty that is passed down from generation to generation... This is not a fate... It should not be...

"IT IS POSSIBLE TO GET RID OF THIS MONOPOLIZATION BY STANDING SIDE BY SIDE"

All our efforts are for disadvantaged and vulnerable groups to obtain their rights and make their voices heard. By standing side by side, it is possible to get rid of this state of monopolization. We can find common solutions for our common problems. If we fight this struggle together, we will achieve our rights. We call on all oppressed and discriminated groups to fight together.

Our differences are our richness. We are strong with our differences.

Everyone is Different Everyone is Equal!
